BRCGS Global Standard is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard used worldwide. BRCGS standards prescribe quality, safety and operational criteria manufacturers must meet. BRCGS fit alongside existing ISO and HACCP management systems.

Telarc's accreditation scope, including approved standards and sectors, can be verified at the JASANZ accreditation body website.

To start the BRCGS certification process you must purchase a copy of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety directly from the BRCGS website. Then conduct a preliminary self-assessment.

One of our BRCGS approved auditors can undertake a gap audit if needed. When you’re ready, Telarc will conduct the certification audit and either identify shortcomings or issue the BRCGS compliance certificate.

The standards can be complex, but we’ve made it easy with simplified self-evaluation checklists that break down what you need to have implemented to meet the requirements of the standard. You can use the checklist to determine to what extent you already meet the requirements to become accredited, and which gaps need to be addressed.

Once you’re satisfied that your organisation meets the requirements, Telarc will audit your systems and either issue the certification or identify non-conformances that you need to address before certification is granted.
