FSSC 22000 food safety certification builds on the basis of ISO 22000, providing important additional assurances. It is recognised by the authoritative Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), making it vital for food exporters and their suppliers in particular.
FSSC 22000 builds on the foundation of ISO 22000 food safety management requirements, and adds value by including extra industry-specific pre-requisite programmes as well as additional scheme requirements.
These relate to operating conditions in food factories and other specific requirements to ensure consistency, integrity and sound management of the regulatory system. The FSSC 22000 scheme applies to agriculture, food processing, food packaging, storage and distribution, chemical and additives manufacturing and catering.
The fact that it is recognised by the GFSI (excluding F1 & F2) means that FSSC 22000 provides great reassurances to any company wanting to take their food product to the wider market.
Telarc's accreditation scope, including approved standards and sectors, can be verified at the JASANZ accreditation body website.

How to achieve certification
Contact Telarc using our quote request form and we will help you through the process to achieve the certification(s) your organisation strives for.
The standards can be complex, but we’ve made it easy with simplified self-evaluation checklists that break down what you need to have implemented to meet the requirements of the standard. You can use the checklist to determine to what extent you already meet the requirements to become accredited, and which gaps need to be addressed.
Once you’re satisfied that your organisation meets the requirements, Telarc will audit your systems and either issue the certification or identify non-conformances that you need to address before certification is granted.
