Costco Standard Telarc

All facilities that manufacture, process, pack, warehouse or distribute food products or supply food-contact packaging materials to Costco Wholesale Corporation are required to complete an annual third-party Food Safety audit.

To control its supply chain and ensure the quality of the food product it distributes, Costco requires that its suppliers undergo an approved audit to help you to confirm that your manufacturing practices are in accordance with Costco requirements.

Telarc auditors are authorised to conduct Costco GMP Supplier Audits and Costco Addendum Audits. To make things easier and more cost-effective for you, Telarc can integrate and combine audits for different standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000 and GFSI standards such as BRCGS and FSSC 22000.

Should you meet the requirements, Costco will issue the certificate of compliance.

The standards can be complex, but we’ve made it easy with simplified self-evaluation checklists that break down what you need to have implemented to meet the requirements of the standard. You can use the checklist to determine to what extent you already meet the requirements to become accredited, and which gaps need to be addressed.

Once you’re satisfied that your organisation meets the requirements, Telarc will audit your systems and either issue the certification or identify non-conformances that you need to address before certification is granted.
