Abstract

IAF and ISO have added Climate Change notes to Management Systems Standards, emphasizing its importance within the organizational context. This change responds to the London Declaration on Climate Action.

Expectations for Certified Organisations

Certified organisations must consider Climate Change aspects and risks in their management systems. This includes evaluating its relevance and incorporating it into risk assessments and objectives if applicable. This applies to all management systems, such as Quality and Health and Safety Management and Food Safety Management Systems (ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000).

Expectations from Telarc

Telarc will ensure that all relevant internal and external issues, including Climate Change, are considered in the development and effectiveness of management systems. If Climate Change is deemed relevant, it must be included in the organization’s objectives and mitigation activities.

Timing

This is effective immediately and your next audit will reflect this change with conversations from the Auditor and evidence reflected in the Audit Report.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Telarc and talk to the respective Technical Manager.
