ACC Accredited Employers Programme (AEP)

Home > Health & Safety > ACC Accredited Employer Programme

You can significantly reduce your work levy if your organisation can demonstrate that you meet the audit requirements for the ACC Accredited Employers Programme (AEP).

The ACC Accredited Employer Programme allows employers who meet certain criteria to take responsibility for managing their employees' workplace injuries. The Accredited Employer Programme aims to promote safer working environments, better workplace rehabilitation, and reduce workplace injury claim costs and premiums.

You can get ACC discounts when your business meets the criteria and can manage the programme to audited guidelines. In summary, your business must:

  • Meet the ACC audit standards for workplace safety and be able to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to maintaining these standards
  • Demonstrate employee involvement in injury prevention and management process
  • Have active injury management procedures covering rehabilitation and return to work
  • Have systems and processes in place to ensure injured employees can access their legal entitlements
  • Demonstrate financial solvency
  • Meet the claims data reporting and electronic transfer requirements.

Contact ACC directly to arrange your audit.

Key Benefits

  • Improve health and safety
  • Save on ACC premiums
  • Improve staff involvement in H&S
  • Protect the interests of injured staff.

How to achieve certification

Contact Telarc using our quote request form and we will help you through the process to achieve the certification(s) your organisation strives for.

The standards can be complex, but we’ve made it easy with simplified self-evaluation checklists that break down what you need to have implemented to meet the requirements of the standard. You can use the checklist to determine to what extent you already meet the requirements to become accredited, and which gaps need to be addressed.

Once you’re satisfied that your organisation meets the requirements, Telarc will audit your systems and either issue the certification or identify non-conformances that you need to address before certification is granted.
