Asbestos Class A Audit Requirement

Home > Health & Safety > Asbestos Class A Audit Requirement

Any company involved in asbestos class A removal must meet the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016. Telarc offers a two-stage approach to meeting the Asbestos Class A audit requirement.

The Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 sets out the duties and procedures required to identify and safely deal with asbestos – class A (friable asbestos) as well as class B (non-friable asbestos).

Meeting the requirements of the Asbestos Class A audit requirement is best approached in a structured manner. Telarc offer as two-stage approach:

  • Stage 1 is an audit of about 4 hours on site, followed by a detailed report that will identify any non-conformances.
  • Stage 2 includes business sites and a sample of any projects you may have on the go. Any non-conformances will be identified within the robust report.

Once all non-conformances are closed out, your certificate will be issued and we will register you on the JAS-ANZ register as having conformed to the Asbestos Class A audit requirement.

Telarc’s expert team will make the experience of meeting the Asbestos Class A audit requirement easy. Contact us today.

How to achieve certification

Contact Telarc using our quote request form and we will help you through the process to achieve the certification(s) your organisation strives for.

The standards can be complex, but we’ve made it easy with simplified self-evaluation checklists that break down what you need to have implemented to meet the requirements of the standard. You can use the checklist to determine to what extent you already meet the requirements to become accredited, and which gaps need to be addressed.

Once you’re satisfied that your organisation meets the requirements, Telarc will audit your systems and either issue the certification or identify non-conformances that you need to address before certification is granted.
